Art After Hours is a collaboration between Beyond Canvas (BC) and the International Art Museum of America (IAMA) in downtown San Francisco, where we host various workshops in IAMA's gallery space after IAMA closes its doors to the public. Art After Hours is a drawing series conveniently located in downtown San Francisco, making workshops accessible to locals and travellers alike.

In an Art After Hours workshop, you will use various drawing mediums to create your own work of art while surrounded by inspiring artwork from artists from around the globe.

There is no experience necessary in this all level workshop. In the Art After Hours series, you will get to keep your own drawing materials, which are catered to each class, or you can bring your own supplies. Participants must sign up 48 hours in advance of attending a workshop to ensure their spot is reserved and materials are accounted for.

Art After Hours workshops focus is drawing using a variety of mediums. Instruction is catered for each class and made to accommodate all levels of learning from beginners trying a new outlet to seasoned artists looking to improve technique. Workshop themes range from foundations of drawing to technique building workshops, holiday themes, and event abstraction.

With each Art After Hours workshop, you are provided space to draw inside the International Art Museum of America to create, instruction, and drawing kits. You will get to keep the drawing kits provided for the workshop, unless you choose to bring your own materials instead. Each drawing kit vary depending on the workshop theme, and may include materials such as pastels, pencils, ink pens, erasers, mixed media or drawing  pads, canvas board, or other art tools and mediums. You will pick up your art materials upon sign-in at IAMA the day of your workshop. All materials are easily transportable and can fit into a standard size backpack or bag.
Participants who choose to bring their own materials may use other forms of materials than those provided. However, some materials (paints, liquids, acrylic, oil, and others) are not permitted inside of IAMA for Art After Hours workshops series since we are inside the gallery space and so close to original works of art. All artist materials brought by participants must be approved through email to no less than 48 hours prior to attending an Art After Hours workshop.
