Sausalito Gabrielson Park

History

Sausalito

Gabrielson Park was once known to residents as "The Hole". The Hole was a murky estuary, clouded with mud and dirt. It took three years to fill The Hole with a thousand square yards of sand and planting soil. The project was lead by the Sausalito Rotary Club, a network of members and volunteers who work to keep Sausalito beautiful. Today Gabrielson Park is home to the annual, summer-long Jazz and Blues By The Bay festival.
